Description
New Japan made 2025 Salitga 35! Two models regular gear and high gear. Below I will explain each model and why you would get one over the other.
SALTIGA 35/35L (lefty)
A normal gear model with a gear ratio of 5.1 and powerful winding power.
It has a winding length of 104 cm per handle turn, which is the standard for bait jigging. It is useful in situations where winding torque is an important weapon, such as when targeting large yellowfin tuna where the fight is always a life-or-death struggle, when targeting large rockfish where the first turn immediately after the hit determines the outcome, when retrieving large jigs in deep waters, or when fishing with a dotera, where the load is high.
SALTIGA 35H/35HL (lefty)
This is a high gear model with a gear ratio of 5.8 that can capture large fish with a reel length of 118cm per handle rotation.
It is useful when you want to move the jig firmly, such as when you are targeting large amberjack with a high-response action, or in deep waters where the reel length decreases as the PE line is released.
