Broken Ship Rock Formation - 92 Miles from the Dock @ Paradise Lodge Panama and one of the most perfect places in the world to test Poppers, Swim baits and Rods.
Near Jiccorne, past Coiba Island in Panama, lies the striking Broken Ship Rock Formation. This natural wonder is a rugged, jagged rock structure resembling the skeletal remains of a shipwreck, weathered by time and the relentless action of the ocean. It emerges dramatically from the turquoise waters of the Pacific, surrounded by rich marine life, making it a notable attraction for divers, snorkelers, and nature enthusiasts.
The area is part of the Coiba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its biodiversity and unspoiled ecosystems. The rock serves as a refuge for seabirds and a vibrant underwater habitat. Visitors often combine trips to Broken Ship with nearby snorkeling or diving adventures to explore Coiba’s pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life.
One of my favorite spots in Panama to fish, the remote location adds an air of mystery and exclusivity as not many will burn the fuel and time to come out this far, so the area is largely unspoiled and always holds quality fish (All released).
